Richard Elcock –” Billy T” – Florida - Director / Lifetime Member - Past President (2007-2011)

Richard “Billy T” Elcock has been a part of the VRCA since inception. He became the first President in 2007 and served until 2011. His no-nonsense leadership style charted a course for VRCA, which led it to becoming a registered entity.

VRCA has benefitted from Billy’s experience as an experienced event promoter and he has played an integral role in organizing successful events primarily those held in Florida, as well as in other chapters.

A senior collector Billy has travelled far and wide to build his enviable vinyl collection and he credits Michael Barnett of KOOL FM for opening his eyes to a world of rare records, setting the stage for him becoming a serious collector.  Billy takes pleasure in showcasing his collection on collectorskornernow.com (CKN) on the Vintage Vinyl program along with his co-hosts Eric “Junior” Cyrus, Winston Hart and Clayton Young.

His firm dedication to our organization, unquestionable status as a senior vinyl record collector was recognized by VRCA at the “MWE 2013 Sit In” in Atlanta when he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dalton Leroy Turner (AKA) The Burner, born 05/07/57 in Savalamar Hospital Westmore Land.

He attended Trench Town primary and to Trench Town comprehensive High School than finally St. Stevens College.

Dalton worked at K.S.A.C for 9 yrs., he has lived a very interesting and active music passion as he became involved in music because he lived in close proximity to Sound Systems Mandrill Disco, The President Sound, Charnell One sound and he played R.C Soul Unlimited.

Dalton always plays soul music and disco; he was a member of the Lockhard Jr. Dance Group and was the midnight attraction for El Suzi a Go-Go Disco. Simultaneously, Dalton started buying records at Times Store with his first purchase being Jimmy Castor Bunch - Hey Leroy because that's his middle name.

In 1983 Dalton migrated to U.S settling in Lauderhill where he started buying records from record shop in Lauderhill Mall, Peaches Records Shop in Sunrise than later more records shops, and record shows.

He visited Memory Lane Night Club and became a DJ there and also a member of the Breakfast Club and later becoming one of the most popular DJs because of his keen ear for music.

Dalton established himself as a Top Self collector in the U.S. and he is an occasional presenter on the collector's Korner now Network Vintage Vinyl Show where he never fails to please.
