Richard “Billy T” Elcock has been a part of the VRCA since inception. He became the first President in 2007 and served until 2011. His no-nonsense leadership style charted a course for VRCA, which led it to becoming a registered entity.

VRCA has benefitted from Billy’s experience as an experienced event promoter and he has played an integral role in organizing successful events primarily those held in Florida, as well as in other chapters.

A senior collector Billy has travelled far and wide to build his enviable vinyl collection and he credits Michael Barnett of KOOL FM for opening his eyes to a world of rare records, setting the stage for him becoming a serious collector.  Billy takes pleasure in showcasing his collection on collectorskornernow.com (CKN) on the Vintage Vinyl program along with his co-hosts Eric “Junior” Cyrus, Winston Hart and Clayton Young.

His firm dedication to our organization, unquestionable status as a senior vinyl record collector was recognized by VRCA at the “MWE 2013 Sit In” in Atlanta when he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
